DEAR DEIDRE: DURING the summer I had an incredible time helping out in a camp in America. But now I feel depressed.
At the beginning, I hated the work due to long hours and low pay.
But by the end I loved it because I was surrounded by nature.
Some of the international staff decided to travel around the US but I came home, which I now regret.
I’m still living with my parents until I find a new job and I can’t stand my home town.
I’m male and 23. I don’t know how to get back into normal life without being depressed about it.

DEIDRE SAYS: It is positive that you have discovered you loved working outdoors – many people never truly find a job they enjoy.
It isn’t too late for you to go travelling as you are still young.
You may also find a job that puts you back in touch with nature and the outdoors.
